BRUCE BOLDON - NATURAL WAY

Traditional Chinese Medicine & Internal Martial Arts

Hello, I'm Bruce Boldon, a licensed Acupuncturist and a certified teacher of Tai Ji Quan (Tai Chi). If you are looking for a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture or a teacher of Tai Ji Quan in the Sierra Foothills region of California, particularly in the Placerville area, I invite you to visit my website for appointment information and class schedules.

"I have been seeing Bruce for treatment of chronic pain, allergies and eczema. I wanted to find a way of managing them without the potential side effect of traditional medication. Any doubts about the effectiveness of Traditional Chinese Medicine I had was gone after my first session. I see him regularly and can honestly say that doing so enables me to live a more productive and enjoyable life."
Wendy Dier

Through the years I have worked with many excellent Masters and have learned from all of them, but Bruce Boldon has a unique quality and ability to teach internal martial arts. With his knowledge of the translations, he has cleared up many of my misunderstandings. He has also helped me find my particular areas of blocked energy and offered effective advice on how to release it. I look forward to my next opportunity to learn from him!"
Tracy Henderson

Healing sessions integrate Acupuncture, Energy Healing, therapeutic massage and if useful Chinese herbal medicines (extra fee).

Martial Arts classes include Yang Style Tai Ji Quan, Xin Yi Liu He Quan, Qi Gong and Push Hands.

Private lessons are available.

What Acupuncture and
Tai Ji Quan Can Do For You

Ancient Chinese teachings tell of a natural energy, Qi (pronounced "chee"), that flows around and through all living beings. When this flow is unobstructed, we enjoy well-being of body, mind and spirit. But injury, stress, harmful habits or our reaction to life's turmoil can create blockages to the natural flow of Qi energy. When this happens we experience illness, pain and a decrease of vitality and happiness.

The intent of Acupuncture is to reduce and eliminate such blockages and restore the free flow of Qi energy within us. Qi then nourishes us naturally, heals our injuries and illnesses, relieves pain and stress, refreshes the spirit and helps us feel vital and alive.

The practice of Tai Ji Quan also works to eliminate blockages and restore the natural flow of Qi. Over time, the practice of Tai Ji strengthens this natural flow as it trains the body to move freely and effortlessly and the mind to remain open and relaxed.

Disciplined practitioners of Tai Ji can learn to sense the flow of Qi and to use it for the well-being of self and others. This shows a connection between the arts of Tai Ji Quan and Chinese Medicine. In traditional China, a doctor was usually known to be able to defend himself, while martial arts masters were often known to be excellent healers.

I feel that my Tai Ji practice makes me a better Acupuncturist and that being an Acupuncturist makes me a better Tai Ji Quan teacher.

In the photo, I am with Dr. Wang Zhi Xiang, Doctor of Chinese Medicine and Tai Ji Master. I studied for 3 1/2 years in Shanghai with Dr. Wang and with Master Qian Zhao Hong. While there, I learned Chinese and became a translator for both of them.
